These Terms of Use govern how you access and interact with the NurGuide mobile application and related services (“NurGuide” or the “Service”).
By using NurGuide, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Your access to and use of NurGuide constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use and any related policies referenced herein.

2. LIMITED LICENSE

NurGuide grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may:

  • Download and install the app on your personal device
  • Access features for personal Islamic educational use

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the app or its content
  • Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the app for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Remove or alter copyright or trademark notices
  • Create derivative works based on the app

This license does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

3. DESCRIPTION OF FEATURES

NurGuide may provide the following features:

A. AI Islamic Learning Companion
  • Multilingual conversational assistant
  • Provides Islamic educational information and references
  • Designed for general educational purposes

Important:
AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, incomplete information, or contextual limitations. Responses are not reviewed in real time by qualified scholars.
NurGuide does not issue fatwas and does not provide binding religious rulings. Users must independently verify information with qualified Islamic scholars, particularly for personal religious decisions.

B. Prayer Times
  • Location-based prayer time calculations
  • Generated using GPS data and recognized calculation methodologies

Prayer times may vary by region, methodology, or local mosque standards. Users should confirm prayer times with their local mosque or Islamic authority.

C. Qibla Direction
  • GPS-based directional compass toward the Kaaba

Compass accuracy may vary depending on device calibration and GPS precision. Users should verify direction where possible.

D. Tasbeeh Counter
  • Digital counter for dhikr tracking
E. Daily Ayat and Hadith
  • Qur’anic verses and Hadith for educational reflection

Users are responsible for verifying references and consulting authentic sources.

4. EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY

All features and content are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
NurGuide:

  • Does not provide religious rulings (fatwas)
  • Does not replace qualified scholars or imams
  • Does not guarantee accuracy or completeness
  • Should not be relied upon as the sole source of Islamic knowledge

For matters involving divorce, inheritance, zakat, Islamic finance, or legal disputes, consultation with a qualified scholar is required.

5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

By using NurGuide, you agree to:

  • Verify AI responses with qualified scholars
  • Confirm prayer times and Qibla direction independently
  • Verify Qur’anic and Hadith references
  • Use the app responsibly and respectfully
  • Accept responsibility for your religious decisions

You acknowledge that reliance on AI-generated content is at your own discretion.

6. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not:

  • Use the app to spread misinformation about Islam
  • Present AI responses as official fatwas or authoritative rulings
  • Misquote, manipulate, or misrepresent app content
  • Use the app for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the Service
  • Use automated bots or scraping tools
  • Violate applicable laws

Misrepresentation of NurGuide content as official religious authority is strictly prohibited.

7. AI CONTENT NOTICE

The AI Islamic Learning Companion:

  • Generates responses automatically
  • Cannot replace human scholarly judgment
  • May lack contextual nuance
  • Should be used as a starting point for learning

NurGuide is not liable for:

  • Actions taken based on AI responses
  • Misinterpretation of AI content
  • Errors or omissions in generated responses
  • Religious or personal consequences resulting from use

8. PRAYER TIMES AND LOCATION NOTICE

Prayer times and Qibla direction depend on:

  • GPS accuracy
  • Device calibration
  • Selected calculation methodologies

Local mosque timings may differ. Users are responsible for verification.
NurGuide is not responsible for missed prayers due to timing discrepancies.

9. LOCATION SERVICES

If you enable location services, you permit NurGuide to use your location to:

  • Calculate prayer times
  • Determine Qibla direction
  • Enable location-based features

You may disable location access at any time in your device settings.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All software, design elements, branding, and proprietary content are owned by NurGuide.
You may not extract, copy, or redistribute app content without authorization.
Qur’anic text is not subject to copyright. However, translations, commentary, compilations, and design elements may be protected by intellectual property laws.

11. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

If you create personal content (such as notes or bookmarks):

  • You retain ownership of your personal data
  • We may store this data to provide app functionality

You may not create, upload, or distribute content that:

  • Is offensive or unlawful
  • Promotes extremism or violence
  • Misrepresents Islamic teachings
  • Violates intellectual property rights

Future community features, if introduced, will be subject to additional guidelines.

12. THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS

NurGuide may integrate:

  • Google Sign-In
  • Apple Sign-In
  • Prayer time APIs
  • Location services

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. NurGuide is not responsible for third-party platforms.

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
NurGuide does not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of AI-generated content
  • Reliability of features
  • Uninterrupted service
  • Compatibility with all devices

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NurGuide is not liable for:

  • Errors in prayer times, Qibla direction, or content
  • Religious decisions made based on app content
  • Service interruptions
  • Data loss or technical failures
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the app.

15. SERVICE MODIFICATIONS

NurGuide may:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Update calculation methods
  • Improve or retrain AI systems
  • Modify interface design

Changes may occur without prior notice.

16. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

You may delete your account at any time.
NurGuide may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

17. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
