By accessing or using NurGuide, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and NurGuide. Your continued use of the app confirms your acceptance of these Terms.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

NurGuide is an AI-powered Islamic educational platform that provides:

  • AI Islamic Learning Companion (multilingual conversational assistant)
  • Prayer times based on location data
  • Qibla direction finder
  • Tasbeeh counter
  • Daily Ayat and Hadith content
  • Additional Islamic educational tools and resources

NurGuide is designed as an educational support tool and does not serve as a religious authority.

3. IMPORTANT EDUCATIONAL DISCLAIMER

A. General Educational Purpose

All content within NurGuide is provided for educational and informational purposes only. NurGuide:

  • Does not issue fatwas
  • Does not provide binding religious rulings
  • Does not replace qualified Islamic scholars
  • Does not act as a mufti, imam, or religious institution
  • Does not represent any specific madhhab, sect, or theological movement

Users are responsible for verifying important religious matters with qualified scholars.

B. AI Islamic Learning Companion

The AI-generated responses:

  • May contain inaccuracies, omissions, or limitations
  • Are generated automatically and are not reviewed in real time by scholars
  • May provide general references that require independent verification

You agree that:

  • You will independently verify Quranic verses, Hadith references, and rulings
  • You will consult qualified scholars for personal religious decisions
  • You will not treat AI responses as authoritative rulings

For matters involving divorce, inheritance, zakat calculations, Islamic finance, legal disputes, or personal rulings, consultation with a qualified scholar or imam is strongly required.
Use of AI-generated content is at your own discretion and risk.

C. Prayer Times and Qibla Direction

Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated using location data and third-party calculation methods.
You acknowledge that:

  • GPS data may be inaccurate
  • Calculation methodologies may differ by region
  • Local mosques may follow different timing standards

NurGuide is not responsible for missed prayers or discrepancies in calculation.
Users should confirm prayer times and Qibla direction with their local mosque or Islamic center.

D. Islamic Content

Daily Ayat, Hadith, and other educational materials are provided “as is.”
NurGuide does not claim scholarly authority over the interpretation of Islamic texts. Where differences of opinion exist, the platform may present multiple mainstream perspectives for educational awareness.
Content is not intended to replace traditional Islamic education, mosque attendance, or scholarly study.

4. USER RESPONSIBILITY

You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying information provided by the app
  • Consulting qualified scholars when required
  • Ensuring the correctness of your religious practices
  • Any decisions made based on app content
  • Cross-checking prayer times and Qibla direction

NurGuide does not assume responsibility for religious decisions made by users.

5. ELIGIBILITY

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use NurGuide.
  • Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
  • You agree to provide accurate account information where applicable.

6. USER ACCOUNTS

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
NurGuide may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. PROHIBITED USE

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for unlawful purposes
  • Use AI responses to fabricate or misrepresent Islamic rulings
  • Present NurGuide content as an official fatwa or religious authority
  • Manipulate, alter, or misquote content to mislead others
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform
  • Use automated systems or bots without permission
  • Copy, distribute, or commercially exploit content without authorization

Misrepresentation of NurGuide content as official religious rulings is strictly prohibited.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All app design, branding, software, and proprietary content are owned by NurGuide.
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Qur’anic text is divine revelation. Translations may be subject to copyright by respective translators.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

NurGuide may integrate third-party services, including:

  • Authentication providers (e.g., Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In)
  • Prayer time calculation APIs
  • Location and mapping services

These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. NurGuide is not responsible for third-party services.

10. LOCATION PERMISSIONS

By enabling location access, you permit NurGuide to:

  • Calculate prayer times
  • Determine Qibla direction
  • Provide location-based features

Location access may be disabled at any time in device settings.

11. NO WARRANTIES

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
NurGuide makes no warranties regarding:

  • Accuracy of AI-generated responses
  • Completeness of religious content
  • Reliability of prayer time calculations
  • Continuous or error-free service
  • Fitness for a particular purpose

Use of the app is at your own risk.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NurGuide and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Religious decisions made based on app content
  • Missed prayers due to timing discrepancies
  • Errors or omissions in AI responses
  • Loss of data or service interruptions
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages

Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the app.

13. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NurGuide, its owners, affiliates, and developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the app
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your reliance on AI content without verification
  • Your misuse or misrepresentation of app content

14. CHANGES TO SERVICES

NurGuide may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
This includes updates to:

  • AI systems
  • Calculation methodologies
  • Interface design
  • Content sources

15. CHANGES TO TERMS

NurGuide may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. TERMINATION

You may discontinue use at any time.
NurGuide may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, you must cease use of the app.

17. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved under applicable U.S. jurisdiction.

18. SEVERABILITY

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

19. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies posted within the app, constitute the entire agreement between you and NurGuide.
